Research Areas
Research domains where human complexity calls for better measurement.

Mental health
Complex psychological phenomena, symptoms, psychological and behavioral mechanisms, risk and protective factors, comorbidity, individual differences and processes of change. We combine conventional diagnostic categories with dimensional and transdiagnostic perspectives.
Measurement and research instruments
Development, assessment and validation of questionnaires, indices, measures and models, including reliability, validity, internal structure, sensitivity to change and predictive performance.
Treatments and interventions
Evaluation of effectiveness and outcomes alongside the investigation of mechanisms and processes: what changes, for whom, under which conditions and with which associated factors?
Complementary and integrative medicine
Empirical examination of complementary and integrative approaches, without assuming in advance that an approach is either effective or ineffective.
Longitudinal and multidimensional research
Integration of multiple sources and repeated measures to understand patterns and meaningful changes over time.
