The Israeli Institute for Research, Innovation, Measurement and Knowledge Development
Connecting worlds of knowledge. Building a more complete understanding.
Despite major advances in science, technology and artificial intelligence, understanding human health, mental well-being and quality of life remains a complex challenge.
More data does not automatically mean deeper understanding. We study the relationships and processes behind the measurements, bringing together scientific disciplines and research methods.

Not just measuring phenomena, but understanding the relationships and processes behind them.
An integrative approach to studying multiple dimensions, latent structures and change over time.
Innovation & Methodology →Developing new ways to study and understand people
Two complementary directions: longitudinal personal learning systems and integrative research methods for mental health.

AYLME
Adaptive AI for personalized learning and mind-body research.
A proposed longitudinal model integrating psychological, physiological and contextual measures. Research focuses on distinguishing ordinary fluctuations from meaningful change and controlling how personal models adapt over time.
Early R&D stage
Explore AYLME →Toward a holistic approach to mental-health research
Mental phenomena do not occur in isolation from the body, cognition, behavior or environment. We seek to develop integrative methods combining diverse measurements and longitudinal analysis.
The goal is to better investigate complex relationships and change processes and develop models that offer a more complete, empirically testable picture of the individual.
Innovation & Methodology →Yaniv Shlomo, Founder of YnnovScience
Researcher and methodologist with approximately 20 years of experience in research, measurement, evaluation and data analysis.
His background includes international research at Washington University in St. Louis and within Horizon 2020, validation of medical risk-prediction models, and leadership of a research team.

From measurement to understanding, from understanding to development
We can collect and analyze more data than ever before. Yet isolated measurements do not necessarily explain how different dimensions of human experience interact or change over time. YnnovScience brings together psychology, physiology, health sciences, behavioral science, research methodology and artificial intelligence to study people as complex, evolving systems.
Multidimensional measurement
We explore relationships among psychological, physiological, behavioral and contextual dimensions, including latent structures that cannot be measured directly.
Longitudinal learning
Change is more than a difference between two time points. We study processes in their personal and environmental contexts, asking what changes, how, and with what possible significance.
Data analysis and artificial intelligence
We combine statistical modeling, computational approaches and AI with careful attention to data quality, validity and the limitations of inference.
Applied research and development
Research findings can inform measurement instruments, methodologies and decision-support systems that can be tested, validated and improved.
Research, services and collaboration
Our activities include research design and implementation, data analysis, development and validation of measures, evaluation of programs and interventions, and research-model development. We welcome collaborations with researchers, academic institutions, public bodies and organizations.
Our guiding principle
Ideas can come from many disciplines, but hypotheses and models must be examined empirically, systematically and critically. Our goal is to broaden the questions we can investigate without drawing conclusions beyond the evidence.
